Limited Manufacturer's Warranty (EU & UK)

This limited manufacturer's warranty for electric vehicle charging equipment and charging extension cables is issued by EVDANCE. It is applicable to the European Union (EU) and United Kingdom (UK) markets and is designed to be fully compliant with EU consumer guarantee directives and UK consumer protection regulations.

This manufacturer warranty is voluntary and supplementary; it runs concurrently with and does not override, restrict, or limit your statutory consumer rights under EU and UK law. The following terms apply to the original purchaser of the products (hereinafter referred to as the “Warranty Holder” or “You”).

1. Three-Year Warranty Coverage

EVDANCE warrants that the electric vehicle charger and charging extension cable products shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of installation/first commissioning (the “Warranty Period”), subject to the terms and exclusions set forth below. This 3-year commercial warranty meets the mandatory statutory guarantee requirements for consumer goods within the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom.

2. Mandatory Professional Installation Requirement

Electric vehicle charging stations are high-voltage, heavy-duty electrical appliances. To ensure operational safety, prevent fire hazards, and maintain warranty validity, the product MUST be installed and commissioned by a certified, licensed, and qualified electrician in strict accordance with local electrical codes and wiring standards (e.g., BS 7671 Part P in the UK, or equivalent national standards in EU member states).

  • Proof of Professional Installation: In the event of a warranty claim, You may be required to provide valid proof of professional installation (e.g., an installation certificate, compliance report, or official invoice). Failure to provide this upon request will render this limited warranty null and void.

3. Product Installation & Warranty Registration

To establish the exact commencement date of your Warranty Period, we strongly encourage You to confirm the installation date by submitting a registration email to support@evdances.com within 30 days after installation. Please include:

  • Actual installation date

  • Product Serial Number (S/N)

  • Model name (charger / extension cable)

  • Order number and proof of purchase

Note: The installation date must not be later than six (6) months from the original date of purchase. If no registration is submitted, the purchase date on the original invoice shall automatically be deemed the start of the Warranty Period.

4. Warranty Scope & Remedies

If a covered defect arises within the three-year warranty term, EVDANCE will, at its sole discretion and in full compliance with EU/UK consumer remedies frameworks, execute one of the following:

  • Repair: Repair the product or defective component using new or refurbished parts.

  • Replacement: Replace the product with a new or refurbished unit of equivalent model and performance.

  • Partial Refund: Issue a refund less a reasonable depreciation based on usage duration (only considered if repair/replacement is not economically feasible or timely).

These constitute your exclusive remedies under this voluntary warranty, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

5. Warranty Exclusions

This limited warranty applies exclusively to products subjected to normal usage. It does not cover damage or failure caused by:

  • Normal Wear & Tear: Natural aging of the cable sheath, cosmetic scratches, and conventional component fatigue.

  • Improper Use: Overloading, exceeding rated parameters, rough handling (e.g., violent pulling, running over the cable with vehicles).

  • Negligence & Accidents: Failure to adhere to user manuals, water immersion (beyond IP rating), fire, extreme weather, or natural disasters.

  • Improper Installation & Modification: Incorrect DIY installation, uncertified grid connections, unauthorized disassembly, or third-party repairs.

  • Incompatibility: Usage with non-compliant EVs, mismatched power grids, or faulty/non-standard charging adapters.

6. Statutory Consumer Rights Notice (EU & UK)

This voluntary 3-year manufacturer warranty is an independent commercial guarantee. It operates in addition to your statutory rights under Directive (EU) 2019/771 within the European Economic Area (EEA), and the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 within the United Kingdom.
